Victoria Kingston was crowned "The Homecoming Queen" her senior year of high school before she goes off to college. Her mother was also "The Homecoming Queen" and Victoria follows in her footsteps but Victoria shocks her fellow students alike when she is their first Homecoming Queen to cry when getting the crown. Once she graduates, she has to go off and realizes quickly that even the prettiest and most popular girls don't always get what they want in life. When a guy in her class, Carl Landsbury, catches her attention, her life begins to change as does her perspective.
